WashU sponsors 43 sport clubs that offer students the opportunity to participate in a sport or physical activity in an organized setting.
Sport clubs are a popular option for students interested in a sport that WashU does not offer at the varsity level, or for students who want to compete collegiately without the time commitment required of a varsity sport. Many sport clubs compete against other colleges and universities at the local, regional and national level.
Some sport clubs are non-competitive, offering students an avenue to be involved in a recreational pursuit such as skiing, snowboarding, karate or rock climbing.
Aside from being an outlet for competition and fitness, sport clubs are also great social outlet. Many sport clubs hold regular social gatherings and activities outside of their activity spaces.
