Media and Advertising Policy

Photo/Video Policy

Anyone who would like to take pictures or vieos within the Sumers Recreation Center or the South 40 Fitness Center should contact Marketing and Digital Media Manager Bill Ford at wrford@wustl.edu or (314) 935-9537 for prior approval. Event coverage for varsity athletic events should be made through Chris Mitchell in the WashU sports information office at mitchell@wustl.edu or (314) 935-5077.

Advertising/Signage Policy

WashU Rec does not allow the posting of paper flyers anywhere within recreational facilities. Student groups and other on-campus organizations can advertise events and activities on the digital signs in the Sumers Recreation Center (three screens) and the South 40 Fitness Center (two screens).

Slides must be sent in a JPEG format, sized at 1920 x 815 pixels with a resolution of 100 dpi. Submissions that aren't properly sized will not be considered. Limit one slide per event or announcement.

Send your slides to wrford@wustl.edu. Please specify the sponsoring organizations name, contact name and an e-mail address along with your preferred running dates. Slides can run for a maximum of two weeks.

WashU Rec reserves the right not to post slides we deem unsuitable or not in alignment of WashU's mission. Advertisements intended to sell products or services will not be considered unless they are in support of a student organization or fundraiser.
